How do you stick with it (when you’re tired and worn out)?

Man, oh, man. When I started my new job, I texted my roommate to say, “my new job is going to interfere with my blogging time.” I knew it would! I work long hours and have a long commute. I am finally used to the long hours and commute. I need to figure out a way to incorporate being healthy into the 10 day and 2 hour commuting time (round trip). I know so many other people work long hours and commute forever, and they stay in shape. They chose to stay in shape, and I need to make that decision, too.

I really see the value of food prepping on the weekends. If I had easily accessible food, I could grab it on the go or when I get home. I also need to pick definite days to go to the gym and stick to those days. If I don’t have it in stone, it’s so much easier to just not go to the gym. I have been going here and there, but I know I need to go more often. There was one day where I super stressed, and instead of ice cream to make me feel better, I just wanted to go to the gym. I was really proud of myself.  I do see there is a glimpse of change in me. It’ll happen soon.

I wanted to share a picture of my friend, Barbara, from Houston. She’s lost a lot of weight, and she eats clean and does cross fit. She cooked this yummy meal for us… Totally Paleo. I love her cooking, and I certainly do miss it! She’s an inspiration to me when it comes to getting healthy and fit. I’m on the left.
